As you cover twenty miles of river, a naturalist will share insights about the local history, rivers, and Denali, with chances to spot nesting bald eagles. At the Adventure site, enjoy a leisurely ¼-mile walk to a Dena’ina Indian Encampment, the area's earliest inhabitants. Visit an authentic trapper’s cabin to see how trappers once lived, view local furs, and learn about trapping techniques. Your guide will also introduce you to the local flora, including wildflowers and edible plants used by Native Indians for culinary and medicinal purposes. |
