The State of Alaska does not require visitors to arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR test or proof of vaccination.

Get Vaccinated or Consider a COVID-19 Test Prior to Arrival in Alaska! Why? While it is not required, being fully vaccinated provides a level of security and peace of mind for all. Offering a safe experience is the top priority for Alaska tour companies. Small Alaska communities do not have hospitals and many great Alaska experiences are far away from medical facilities.

Wilderness Lodges are requiring their guests to be fully vaccinated prior to arrival. Other tour companies may require proof of a negative Covid test or vaccination (or both) for participation in their tour. Alaska Active Travel strongly encourages travelers to get fully vaccinated before arriving in Alaska and non-vaccinated travelers to be tested for COVID-19 within 72 hours of departure to Alaska. Currently, you can still obtain a free COVID-19 test upon arrival in Alaska at the Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Ketchikan airports (subject to change). Any person currently positive with COVID-19 cannot travel to Alaska until they have been released from isolation, or cleared for travel, by a medical provider or public health agency. Please always check current entry requirements and airline requirements prior to your flight to Alaska: State of Alaska Covid-19 Traveler Information page https://covid19.alaska.gov/travelers
