Whitehorse Northern Lights Viewing
If you have never witnessed the Northern Lights and Aurora Borealis, this is an adventure you will never forget! Photographs portray them. Poetry describes them. Science explains them. But the only way you can truly appreciate the Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, is to witness their power and beauty with your own eyes. As their colorful streamers sweep across the nighttime sky, the Northern Lights will dwarf every magic act and animated feature you've ever seen. Nothing compares to the allure of aurora borealis - natural, mysterious and unforgettable!

Arrive in Whitehorse. Hotel transfer. Rest of the day at leisure. From the time that you arrive in Whitehorse you are treated to true Yukon hospitality and your stay at the cabins during the following nights will be filled with northern memories. The tour includes an introduction to the phenomena of Aurora Borealis also known as the Northern Lights. 02
Whitehorse - Cabin Accommodation
Morning transfer to the cabin location north of Whitehorse. Afternoon guided trail hiking. Dinner. Watching the Aurora Borealis dance across the northern skies is a highlight for many visitors to the Yukon. The northern lights shimmer, pulsate, slide, arc, spike and change, never repeating a pattern. Some nights they are a frosty glimmer of white light; other nights, they are red and green rays and swirls. Whether you can hear them is a subject of much scientific debate. But there is no question that they are beautiful, mysterious and magically. Overnight: Cabins
03
Cabin Accommodation
Breakfast. Morning at leisure. Afternoon 3-hour snowmobile tour. Make some tracks on the fresh snow in the Yukon’s backcountry. During the tour we stopover for a winter trail fire, hot beverages and snacks. Evening: Dinner The northern lights can be seen anytime during the darkness in the North. The best aurora viewing is from October to the end of March, late at night and into the early hours of the morning. The aurora is a solar powered light show, the visible evidence of electromagnetic disturbances around the earth. Overnight: Cabins
04
Cabin Accommodation
With snowmobile and sleighs travel the extensive winter trails around the cabins. Half way through the ride, stop and listen for to the night. The lonely cry of a Wolf or Coyote, the questioning hoot of the resident owl or the frosty crackle or the wind in the trees are the sounds experienced only on special, northern nights such as this. When ice conditions permit, we stop on the snowy surface of the lake underneath the vast, star-studded night sky. Although it is said that the Aurora does not make a noise, we think it does if one listens close enough. There is nothing like it. Overnight: Cabins
