Arrive in Fairbanks. Complimentary transfer to your **** hotel near the banks of beautiful Chena River. Relax during your first evening in Fairbanks and get ready for a few days of winter fun and adventure in Alaska. You can watch the Aurora Borealis at night dancing on the northern sky and/or enjoy a dinner at the scenic Pikes Landing Restaurant. Overnight: Fairbanks

Explore the city on your own or take the advantage of a guided city sightseeing tour. Check out winter activities around the All American Championship Sled Dog Race, World Ice Carving Sculpture Championship or visit the famous Alaska University Museum with the States largest collection of gold, gold mining history and Alaskan heritage. The Geophysical Institute is recognized as the best in the world for Aurora research. If you are an active person, you can go ice fishing or visit a sled dog kennel and learn about dog mushing. Have fun riding in the sled bag or even drive your own dog team through Alaska's winter wonderland. Keep on the look out for moose and other wildlife as you soak up the winter sun. Another option is to rent a car for the day and explore the area on your own: visit the Santa Claus House in North Pole, see the Alaska Pipeline or go for a walk in Fairbanks wildlife park.

Evening transfer from your hotel to a prime Northern Lights viewing area in the hills about 20 miles north of Fairbanks – far away from any city lights. Enjoy spectacular 270-degree Aurora displays through large picture windows from the comfort of a heated cabin or outside. Return to your hotel at around 2:30 am. Overnight: Fairbanks

Fairbanks - Chena Hot Springs - Fairbanks
Morning transfer (10:00 am) to Chena Hot Springs resort, 60 miles northeast of Fairbanks. The large heated mineral indoor pool, the outdoor rock lake and numerous hot tubs are providing a great opportunity to soak or swim until the Northern Lights are appearing in the evening. After a delicious lunch at the resort restaurant you'll attend a 1 hr guided tour of the Aurora Ice Museum and afterwards you can join the Geothermal Renewable Energy tour. The remaining afternoon is at leisure to swim or soak in the outside pool or you can go dog sledding, snowmobiling or x-country skiing. Take a short hike to a nearby cabin with outstanding Northern Lights viewing opportunities. Return to Fairbanks by 5:30 pm.
