WRAS#01 Anan Bear Viewing / 8 Hours
Anan Creek is located on the Tongass National Forest (35 miles) South East of Wrangell, Alaska, accessible only by boat or float plane. Anan Wildlife Observatory is world renowned for its extraordinary bear viewing opportunities. Home to one of Southeast Alaska's largest pink salmon runs, it attracts a significant number of bears, both black and brown, as well as hundreds of eagles, seals and other wildlife that rely on the salmon as a major food source. Anan creek and bay and its salmon run have been culturally significant for decades as local natives and now other visitors enjoy its incredible beauty and astonishing natural richness. We have guided numerous professional photographers and outdoor enthusiasts that are captivated by the opportunity to become so close to Alaska's wildlife in its natural habitat. Our Anan Wildlife Observatory excursions are fully guided by our highly trained staff including certified naturalists. Tours depart from Wrangell on a sightseeing jet boat cruise. Plan for a half mile walk on a well maintained trail to the observation deck and photo blind. We keep our groups very small and customize itineraries to improve your opportunity to view and photograph wildlife in its natural setting. Anan Wildlife Observatory visits are best in July and August and highly sought after. Visits require special permits that are limited in number for each day. Early reservations for this tour are highly recommended.

WRAS#03 Le Conte Glacier Tour / 8 Hours
LeConte Glacier is 38 miles from Wrangell by boat.  The Glacier itself is 35 km long and is Northern hemisphere’s southern most calving glacier, located in a stunningly beautiful fjord.  The glacier is extremely active and has regular calving events and is famous for its “shooters” (massive submarine icebergs dramatically rising to the surface). LeConte Glaciers’ calving events produce a phenomenal collection of bergs making a great place for you to experience the best of what Alaska has to offer.  Join us for this interesting excursion by jet boat. We’ll take you as close as the glacier will safely allow.  Enjoy the eagles and seals (LeConte is a seal nursery) and spend the balance of the day in the historic Norwegian fishing port of Petersburg.  Then continue return to Wrangell via the scenic Wrangell Narrows.
