Overview: Located on shores of Frances Lake, 175 km north of Watson Lake and 600 km from Whitehorse. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 15 guests in six cozy log cabins. The main building features a bright living room with a small library. Delicious and healthy home cooked meals are served in the dining room. Each cabin has 2-to 4 beds with a soft down quilt. Chairs and tables in the sitting corner allow you to enjoy the view of the lake. Most cabins also have a porch from where you can enjoy the view over the magnificent lake into the Logan Mountains. Each cabin has its own wood stove, fresh water tank as well as a chemical toilet. Shower and sauna are in a separate log house. During your stay we guide you to remote places with wildlife and great scenery. Hike in the northern foothills of the Canadian Rockies into a wonderful world of mountains, lakes and creeks with incredible views over an endless and deserted wilderness. Canoes, kayaks, fishing boats and guided tours are included at no extra cost. Transportation to the lodge either by floatplane or car. We pick you up by boat from Frances Lake. We also offer a convenient van transportation from/to Whitehorse

Liard River Canoe Trip: A pleasant ride with a floatplane brings you to Caribou Lake. A trip of a lifetime on the upper Liard down to the Alaska Hwy. You will paddle through breathtaking wilderness and feel how a creek turns into a mighty river. After this long trip you will enjoy relaxing days at Frances Lake Wilderness Lodge with full board. The upper Liard is rated class I to II.

Mount Hunt Hiking Trip: Enjoy the breathtaking wilderness and abundant opportunities for wildlife viewing in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The seven-day trip features four days of hiking and camping above the tree line on Mt. Hunt followed by two days of luxuriating in the comfort of your own log cabin at Frances Lake Wilderness Lodge.

Dease River Canoe Trip: A great combination of relaxing in the wilderness and enjoying river paddling. Start your trip at our wilderness lodge, where you tune in to the peace and quiet of a true wilderness setting. Enjoy your own cozy log cabin, relax, practice the necessary paddle strokes and learn about wilderness travel and other useful skills for your river adventure. We head out to paddle the Dease River, located in British Columbia, north of the Stikine drainage. The Dease River flows north through the Cassiar Mountains in to the Liard basin. An easy river to paddle with stunning mountain views, great fishing and good wildlife viewing opportunities. River difficulty is class I to II. Some flat water paddling skills suggested but not required.
